DOB 19 Aprl 1862 per death of age 65.4.24
in 1925 a member of this family went to PA to visit the grave of Abe's parents Michael and Margaretha. Since that person would have had first hand knowledge via his grandparents, it is now known that these are the correct parents and that Michael is the son of Michael Zimmerman and Margaretha Dreher.
.
It was noted in the letter from that person that headstones were there. In 1952, another family member visited the graves and found Michaels stone was gone but there was a DAR plaque there.

They were members of the Zion ' 'Red' ' Church in Orwigsburg, Schuylkill Co, PA; much family information is in those church records.
Zion's church also has records of the Kimmel births.
