Maria Engel DRUM (Anna Elisabetha MUMBAUER, Hans Jacob MUMBAUER, Engel Reik FICKEYSEN, Hans Peter FICKEYSEN, Peter) was born 15 Sep 1718 in Ulmet, Pfalz, Germany. She died 22 Apr 1802 in Plainfield, Northampton, PA. On 15 Sep 1757, Maria Engel Drum Keller, and John Jacob Keller I were kidnaped in an Indian raid. John Jacob II was only a baby and had not be named yet. Thus his father (Jospeh thinking) John Jacob was dead, named the baby John Jacob II. Maria married Joseph KELLER II, son of Joseph KELLER and Ms. GUTH, about 1742. Joseph was born 15 Mar 1718 in Schwarzenacher, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. He died 17 Sep 1811 in Plainfield, Northampton, PA. Joseph was eighteen years old, he would soon have to be enrolled as a soldier in Germany, his older brother, and half-brother had both immigrated to America. Therefore he decided to go to America . He sailed from Rotterdam The Netherlands on the ship William, Captain John Carter. The ship carried 180 passengers , and arrived in Philadelphia October 311737. Joseph's older brother emigrated to America and settled in Virginia. Joseph lived originally with his half brother Jacob Guth. Joseph and Maria had the following children: 74 M i. Christian KELLER was born 10 Sep 1743 in Plainfield, Northampton, PA. He died 15 Sep 1757 in Plainfield, Northampton, PA. He was killed and scalped at the age of 14 by Indians druing the raid (French and Indian War) 75 F ii. Anna Margaret KELLER was born 15 Mar 1744/1745 in Plainfield, Northampton, PA. She died in Plainfield. Anna married Captian MILLER in Plainfield. 76 M iii. Henry Adam KELLER was born 1 Jan 1746/1747 in Plainfield, Northampton, PA. Henry Adam had great physical strength. He died young of Smallpox. It is not known where he was during the Indian Raid, perhaps with his father, or possibly with Simon chasing wild pigeons in a sown field. 77 M iv. Simon KELLER was born 29 Oct 1749 in Plainfield, Northampton., PA. during the Indian Raid Simon was chasing wild pigeons from a sown field, and so escaped. Simon married DIPPER in Plainfield. 78 M v. Joseph KELLER was born 15 Jan 1750/1751 in Plainfield, Northampton, PA. He died 15 Apr 1832 in Plainfield. Served in the Rev. War He is buried with his wife Maria Magdalena Andre in the old, abandoned, Keller family burial ground in Cherry Valley, Stroud TS Monroe PA. Their tombstones were reported to be there in the late 1930's but have since disappeared. Joseph married Maria Magdalene ANDRE in Plainfield, Northampton, PA. Maria was born 15 Jun 1758 in Bucks, PA. She died 6 Sep 1831 in Cherry Valley, Stroud TS, Monroe, PA. 79 M vi. John Jacob KELLER I was born 10 Jul 1754. taken with his mother during an indian raid 80 M vii. John Jacob KELLER II was born 22 Mar 1757 in Plainfield, Northampton., PA. He died in Somerset, Washington, PA. He was only a baby during the Indian Raid and was not taken. John married Maria Dorothy METZ in Plainfield. 81 M viii. Philip KELLER was born 29 Mar 1763 in Plainfield, Northampton, PA. He died 2 Oct 1842 in Plainfield. !1850 Indiana Census |
