Notes
![]() Note |
surname possibly Damon, Hand or Barry. She and her husband met on the boat to America. In 1850, Rose Damon is in Batavia, Genesee, NY and Rose Hand in Le Roy, Genesee, NY. Rose Barry, whoes DOB is closer to the 1860 census is one county south in Attica, Wyoming, NY, Attica being just across the border only a few miles from Alexander. Wyoming was formed from Genesee County, May 14, 1841. If this is her, either her parents are Thomas and Margaret (both born abt 1814) or John and Ann, here noted as her grandparents rather than her parents. Her youngest sister (or niece) is Mary who was born 1849~1850 in NY and her brother Patrick about 1845 in NY. All other siblings were born in Ireland meaning she came to America at the right time to be our Rose. |
