Agusta Amelia Hohn was born in Klucken, Germany, January 9, 1840. She married Christian Malkow December 7, 1863. They came to America September15, 1871 and settled in the Town of Sylvester, Green County, Wisconsin.They lived there eight years , then moved to Mt. Pleasant Township where they lived for 35 years. They then moved to Albany, Wisconsin for fiveyears where they since resided. December 7, 1913 they celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary inAlbany Wisconsin with family and friends joining them. On Monday,February 7, she suffered a stroke and lay in a semi-conscious condition most of the time, until she passed away on Saturday, February 19, 1916,at the age of 76 years, 1 month and 10 days. Her funeral was held at theBaptist Church, Monday P.M. and and was conducted by Rev. H.A. Frandke ofBrodhead and Rev. Berk, Dutch Hollow. She was laid to rest in HillcrestCemetery, Albany, Wisconsin. |
