Anmerkung

John S. Zimmerman, son of Benjamin and Amanda Zimmerman, was born in Pennsylvania, Dec. 22, 1861. When he was in his eighth year, his father removed with his family to this town. At the same time came his grandfather, Isaac Zimmerman. John has grown to manhood in this town. "Ben," as he is familiarly called, is well and favorably known as a young man of correct life, good habits, honest, industrious and of a genial disposition. He will soon leave the old home to carve out his fortunes, and if the future can be judged by the past, he will successfully accomplish whatever he undertakes.

John S Zimmerman Accidentally shot

‎[sic]‎Ma John S Zimmerman, son of our esteemed townsman Mr. Zimmerman, who left this locality about two years ago, and who has resided near Spooner Wis, was accidentally shot on Tuesday of this week. The remains will arrive in this city Thursday morning, and funeral services will be held on Friday morning, leaving the home of the father at 10 o'clock and going to the Mt Hope Church. The members of the Bicknell Lodge, A.F and A.M, of which the deceased was a member, will attend and conduct the usual burial services.
