Rev. War ZIMMERMAN. Ludwig 1785 Zion Red Church 1780 Capt Christof Baldi Co 1783 Capt Jac Whetstone Co Oath of Allegiance Of 300 persons from ' 'Northeastern Berks' ' who took the Oath of Allegiance before Charles Shoemaker between May and September 1778, almost half appear on tax and census lists in Brunswick or Pine Grove Township [now Schuylkill County PA] during the War For Independence. Since persons taking the oath - on some of the days, lived what was then great distances from each other, Shoemaker could not have gone to them. It seems likely that they reported to locations in Northern Berks to take the oath. May 25 1778 - Ludwig Zimmerman ' ' A List of Capt Baldi Company of Braunschweig Township Berks County Militia Commanded by Colonel Michael Lindenmuth in the 3rd Batallion April 23 1780' ' 6th Class - Ludwig Zimmerman |
