BRODHEAD -- Rosanna M. Matzke, age 83, died Friday, January 26, 2007 at Beloit Memorial Hospital. She was born on November 11, 1923 in rural Green County, the daughter of Alfred and Hattie (Keister) Stuckey. She graduated from Shanghai School. Rosanna married Paul R. Matzke on June 1, 1945 in Brodhead. He died on April 8, 1999. Rosanna worked for Wendtland's grocery store, had an egg route and helped her husband on the farm. Rosanna and her husband attended and taught Sunday School at the Fairfield Church in Jefferson Township for many years. They moved to the Brodhead area in 1960. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Brodhead. She enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Brodhead Garden Club.
She is survived by a brother, Alton (Virginia) Stuckey of Juda; three nieces and nephews, Wayne Stuckey of Madison, Michele (Tim) Jenson of Elkhorn and Ruby (Troy) Clark of Monroe; two greatnephews, Bryce Jenson and Griffin Clark; other relative and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Brodhead, with Pastor Steve Groves officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Brodhead. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. EVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Brodhead, is assisting the family. Memorials may be given in Rosanna's name to the churc
