Reasa, age 87 of Albany, Wi passed away on Friday, February 2, 2007 at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe, surrounded by his family. He was born July 31, 1919 in Albany, Wi, to Sam and Maude (Canfil) Reasa. On August 25, 1962 he married Maxine Williams. He entered the Army on June 8, 1940 in Milwaukee. He was honorably discharged in Sheridan Il on September 1, 1945. He served in both the United States and Europe. His division made the invasion on France. He received 3 Purple Hearts, The American Defense Service Ribbon, European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with 2 Bronze Battle Stars, 3 Overseas Service Bars, 1 Service Stripe, the Good Conduct Medal, Bronze Star Medal GO 47 Hq 4th Infantry Div. with 1st Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster. Harry was a heavy equipment operator for most of his life, retiring in 1981. He was a member of The Albany Masonic Lodge, The Albany American Legion and The Albany Historical Society. He served on the Albany Village Board for several years and was a member of the Green County Crime Stoppers from 1986 to 1992. He is also a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, talking on his CB radio and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Maxine, his daughters: Brenda (Gary) Kranig, Albany; Mary Kay (Charlie) Wichser, Evansville; Angela (John) Parr; Monroe; 6 grandchildren, Emily (Greg) Moe, Bryan Kranig, Scott and Cindy Wichser; David & Brett Parr; 5 great grandchildren: Brittany, Kylie, Kiarra and Austin Moe; Sidney Kranig. Harry was predeceased by his parents, his brother Clifford Reasa; his sister Phyllis Legler. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at The Albany United Methodist Church, 105 S. Mill St., Albany, with Pastor Pat Soddy officiating. Burial will be at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Albany. Family & friends may call on Monday from 4-7 at the Sharer-Bifulk Funeral Home, 203 W. Nichols St, Albany and from 12:30 until the time of service Tuesday. Harry was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. A memorial has been established in his name. |
