Did not live with his parents the first four years of his life, as his parents could not afford it. They took him back when he was four years old. Probably worked for EK in earlier years. Travelled in Asia in his young years. Owned a business selling stationery. From memoires of Thorkild Bjørnvig: Their son, born before their marriage, was placed with a family in København. They visited him there every second week. He was deeply connected to the other parents who would have liked to adopt him. But Adda and her beau wanted to be married and be together as soon as they could do it. In 1911, Theodor took his exam as an engineer -- and married Ada. That same year, they took Gunnar back. |
