Pa keeps up quite good - sleeps what time he can get- There has not been much night work for quite a while- Ruth is having a short vacation now and is here part of the time. Rachell went back to Deep River, Iowa to help Arthur manage a large Tel. Plant which he has leased for a term of years. - it is East of Des Moines. Well I have thought of you all a great deal and wondered if it would be so we could see you all this fall. Doll & Garo was up. She had just got home from the east - her mother did not come back this time thinks may come later and spend the winter - I am tired now and they will lie me down now so I can rest - wish I could hear from Hazel. I will drop a line to Frankie - Laura hope Dottie or the boys will write. --- Laura A. Hartpence was born September 3, 1845 at Indianapolis, Indiana.
