Miss Alice Thickpenny and William Flood, both of Brooklyn township, were united in marriage at the Methodist parsonage in Monroe, Monday, May 17, Rev. G. H. R. Kershaw, pastor of the church, performed the marriage rite. Mr. and Mrs. Flood will reside on a farm in Brooklyn township.

ALBANY: Alice Mary Flood, 96, of Albany, formerly of Evansville, died peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004, in Albany. She was born on Nov. 13, 1909, in Green County, WI, the daughter of William and Mary (Beech) Thickpenny. She married Willie C. Flood on May 27, 1926 in Monroe, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 1981. Alice farmed most of her life, worked at Grenawalt's Restaurant in Evansville for many years, did house cleaning and decorated cakes. She will be remembered for her beautiful flowers and gardens. Alice is survived by 3 sons: Howard Mike , Walter (Gloria) and Willie (Joan); a daughter, Dorothy Kitelinger; a sister, Wilma Williams; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Marcia Flood. She was preceded in death by sons and daughter-in-law: Robert, Donald and Lois; and 2 grandsons. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 2004, at WARD FUNERAL HOME , 130 S. Fifth Street, Evansville, with Reverend Randy Krause of Brodhead Bethlehem Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will follow at Peace Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday, Nov. 19, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at Ward Funeral Home .
