George was deputy to the Colonial assembly in 1701 and seven subsequentterms. In 1719/20, he was lieut-colonel of the militia on the "mainland"(South Kingston, Rhode Island). He died possessed of farms, slaves,horses, cattle, etc., inventoried at 3,321 pounds. source: Stukely Westcott Book by Bullock & Gen.
