Herman Coplien. (from Green Cty History) native of Germany, born April 13, 1861 s/o Michael and Louisa (Hartwick) Coplien. Michael came to America in 1869 (actually 1868), settling near Juda. History of Green Cty In March 1877 they (Michael) purchased the farm where they now live. Had 10 children, of which Herman was the second. Herman has one child, Freddy. Has 100 acres of land valued at $45/acre. also lived on corner of Adams and George St. Monroe WI after retirement Minister at funeral was Alvin Rabehl |
