Newspaper: Butler Recorder, April 1923, Butler,Indiana Jacob Rilery Zimmerman, son of Jacob and Jane Zimmerman was born in Fulton County, Ohio, March 11, 1855; departed this life at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Verna Deck, April 16, 1923, at the age of 68 years, 1 month and 5 days. He was united in marriage to Miss Phoebe Ellen Kuntz, Nov. 20, 1860. To this union was born eight children, five sons and three daughters. He united with the U.B. church of Butler about thirty years ago. He leaves to mourn the loss, one sister, Mrs. Mary Porter, and the eight children, John of Butler; Martin of Jackson, Mich; Cyde of Auburn; Harry of Youngstown, Ohio, Roy of Toledo, Ohio; Mrs. Lilly Chapman of Hamilton; Mrs. Ruth Greuiner of Waterloo; Mrs. Verna Deck of Butler and Bert Zimmerman of Hallett, Okla. He also leaves twenty seven grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the U.B. church Thursday at 2:30 p.m., Rev. B.E. Chambers, officiating.
