THE BUTLER WEEKLY RECORD March 22, 1912 Friday MRS. TIM DUNN DEAD Mrs. Tim Dunn died very suddenly Wednesday evening. She went to bed shortly after ten o'clock to all apearance as well as ever. In ten or fifteen minutes she jumped out of bed and came out into the room holding her throat and gasping for breath. Her daughter, Minnie, got her to bed and called the doctor as quickly as possible, but she was dead before the doctor got there. Funeral arrangements have not been made at this writing, but it is probably that it will be held at the Christian Church sometime Sunday. THE BUTLER WEEKLY RECORD March 29, 1912 DUNN Sarah Artensea Zimmerman was born in Fulton Co., Ohio, August 8, 1848 and departed this life March 20, 1912 at the age of 63 years, 7 months and 12 days. She spent her childood days until the age of eighteen in Fulton Co., Ohio when she came to Edgerton, Ohio to reside with her brother Martin, who was one of the noble men who fought for his country's flag. Here she became acquainted with T. S. Dunn whom she married February 19, 1867 at Butler, where they resided several years afterward living in Wauseon for six years, thense returning to Butler, where they have continued to reside. To this union was born eleven children, six sons and five daughters, three sons and one daughter preceded her to the land beyond. The untimely death of her son Timothy, who was killed on the railroad in 1895 was a life long grief to this mother. She was converted to Christ about seventeen years ago and was buried with him in baptism and became a member of the Christian Church unto which faith she held faithfully to the last. Naturally of a retiring disposition, her home was the dearest place on earth to her, and her love for her children was ever in evidence, being most happy when she could have them all at home, as Solomon said of old. Her children rise up and call her blessed. She leaves to mourn their loss, a husband, three sons, William, Emery and Martin Dunn and four daughters, Mrs. Libbie Miller, Mrs. Emma Huntington and Mrs. Mayme Beggs and Miss Minnie Dunn, who was faithful and constant companion to her mother in her declining years. Also two grandchildren Florence Miller and Ralph Sherman. Three sisters, Mrs. Wm. Broughton of Pettisville, Mrs. Joe Porter of Wauseon, Mrs. John Barnes of Sandburn, N.Y. and one brother, Riley Zimmerman of Butler. Funeral services were held at the Christian Church, Sunday afternoon at the1:30, conducted by Rev. Imhof. Interment in Butler cemetery. |
