Died April 11, 2000
NILES - Hazel Peacock-Brink, a longtime resident of Benzie
County for over 50 years, died Monday at the Silver Brook Manor in
Niles, at the age of 78.
Hazel was born on Sept. 24, 1921, in Carlson, the daughter of
Jess and Amanda ‎(Leatherman)‎ Peacock. She was united in marriage to
Harry Brink on Oct. 2, 1937, in Manistee. He died on Nov. 3, 1984. She
was also preceded in death by four brothers, Loren, Valda, Ralph and
Elmer Peacock; and two sisters, Mattie Anderson and Marion Tanner.
Hazel was a homemaker and a member of the Beulahland Wesleyan
Church in Beulah.
Hazel is survived by one son, Harry "Butch" Evangeline, Jr. of
Frankfort; and three daughters, Bernice ‎(Edmond)‎ Dougherty of Niles,
Noreen ‎(Howard)‎ Snyder of Orlando, Fla. and Harriet Aldridge of
Davison. Also surviving is one sister, Iris Mansfield of Land-o-Lakes,
Wis.; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the
Benzonia Chapel of the McElduff Funeral Homes. Services for Hazel will
be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will take
place in the Crystal Township Cemetery-North.

memorial contribution to the Beulahland Wesleyan Church.
