1870 - 1920 - Rochester, Fulton, Indiana The Rochester Sentine Tuesday, June 14, 1949 Eugene Pendleton Nafe Eugene Pendleton NAFE, 86, passed away at his home in Rochester township at 8:45 a.m. today. He had been ill two months. Born Feb. 27, 1863, in Fulton county, he was the son of James and Sarah NAFE. A farmer, he was married to Susan MILLER July 4, 1888, in Rochester, and was a member of the Second Adventist church. Survivors include three sons, Don [NAFE], Ypsilanti, Michigan, Cleon [NAFE], an Indianapolis doctor, and James Emerson [NAFE], South Bend; two daughters, Mrs. Markham WAKEFIELD, Evansville, Mrs. Loar FERGUSON, Lombard; fourteen grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; and two brothers, Charles [NAFE], Chicago, and Earl [NAFE], Rochester. The body was taken to the Foster funeral home here. Funeral arrangements are pending. -- The Rochester Sentinel - -Wednesday, June 15, 1949 Eugene P. Nafe Funeral services for Eugene P. NAFE, who passed away Tuesday morning, will be held at 11 a.m. (DST) Thursday at his residence in Rochester township. The Rev. Harlen GUISLEY, Elkhart, will officiate and burial will be in the Leiters Ford cemetery. |
