![]() Note |
W.F. Hintzman settled in Juda, in the town of Jefferson, in the spring of 1868. He engaged in farming two years, then followed mercantile life for nine years, in Juda and Brodhead, selling dry goods. After the death of Christina, Wilhelm married Rosa Knipschild and had at least 2 sons, Edward and William F. This was after his sister-in-laws adopted the twins. The Hintzmans arrived on the same ship as the Coplien's. After the death of Wm., August Nix was made guardian of all his children by his first wife. (per the estate papers of Michael Kopplin (Coplien). |
