Info from In "Snyder Co. Pioneers" (PA), pages 35 and 36 are short biographies of sons John (b. 1765) and Fredrick (b. 1767) Both are rather confused. There is a discussion of the family coming from the area of Siegen. 1790 Census, Berks Co., PA, Richmond Twp., page 40 John Hagar. 3 males over 16 John (1734), John (1765), and Fredrick (1767) 2 males under 16 Jacob (1781) and Heinrich (1783) 5 females Anna Maria, Eilz., Christina, Susanna, and one unidentified (Anna Cath. Maria married William Reeser in 1789) The notes of Prof. Frank Llewellen Hager indicate that he might have been a weaver. |
