Following his retirement in 1988, he and his wife lived in their own home at 3 King Ave. in Shamokin Dam, Snyder Co., PA before moving in March 1992 to the campus of RiverWoods, a senior retirement center affiliated in faith with United Methodists, in Lewisburg, Union Co., PA. Luke was a clergyman in the Church of the Nazarene, Evangelical United Brethren Church and the United Methodist Church for 40 years.
