Leanora graduated from North Coventry High School, Pottstown, PA 1945, She attended Farmville State Teachers College, Farmville, VA. She is a homemaker, a mother of 4 boys (when heryougest was in 1st grade her oldest was a freshman in
college).
In the early1980's Leanora started taking care of her mother in Air Bellows Gap, NC. HerMother died in 1986 and Leanora bought her house and moved to Air Bellows permantly in 1987. She enjoys gardening, playing bridge, and her dogs, ' 'Rosey' '
& ' 'Lilly' '. She also sews. Her weakness is chocolate.
She is an active member ofthe Sparta Womens Club and is a circle leader at Sparta Presbyterian Church, and a past Elder.

Tall wide Walnut Chest, from the Joyce family, c. 1820, I think this came from the Thomas Roberts house, in 1906.

Elkin, was in the front parlor. Pair of white painted twin beds, fromGrandparent Simons', house (1920) A Lane cedar chest, a wicker chest, a 3 piece oriental bedroom set, a walnut campaign chest all that she has left of starting
housekeeping (1950). And a living family antique, an oxolis (plant) fromEmma Caroline Miller Epler's, it has been passed down from daughter to daughterto daughter and now to Mom's 4 son's (she divided it). Mother has it's orginial delft
container, dating from the 1860's.
HIST: On 19 Feb 2003, Leanora hada cancerous Liver tumor removed along with 60% of her liver. The lymph nodesaround the liver were all checked for cancer and the results there came up benign.
