Lee Ora Walters
Lee Ora WALTERS, 79, 127 East Donald street, South Bend, formerly of Rochester, died at 6:45 a.m. Sunday in Healthwin hospital at South Bend. He had been ill since July.

Born Sept. 12, 1888 in Rochester, he was the son of John and Etta WALTERS. He had lived at South Bend 45 years, moving from Rochester. He was married to Florence CARBEINER in 1910. She died in 1921. He was married in South Bend to Helen KERCH June 29, 1922.

Surviving with the wife are seven ‎[sic]‎ children, including Mrs. Gertrudge HARE, South Whitley; Mrs. Blanche BASKEY, Richard WALTERS, Mrs.. Audrey SIX and Miss Donna Kay WALTERS, all of South Bend; eighteen grandchildren, and thirty-five great-grandchildren; a brother, the Rev. Clyde WALTERS, and a sister, Mrs. Carrie FULWIDER, both of Rochester.

Friends may call at the Forest G. Hay funeral home, 1201 South Michigan street, South Bend, until noon Wednesday, when the body will be taken to the Broadway E.U.B. church in South Bend. Services will be at the church at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Orla BRADFORD officiating. Burial will be in the Bremen cemetery.
