Margie ‎(Coplien)‎ Seaman Published Friday, February 21, 2003 11:03:08 AM Central Time Margie ‎(Coplien)‎ Seaman, 87, died peacefully in her sleep, February 18, 2003, where she resided at Sunrise Assisted Living in Fair Oak, California.
Born June 4, 1915, in Monroe, Wisconsin, and moved to Rockford, Illinois, after graduation. Three years later, she married Sam, and they owned and operated a restaurant called Sam's Place for 22 years. Moving to Sacramento, California, in 1961, she retired from California State Employees Association in 1978. She was an active member of the Widowed Persons Association of CA., C.S.E.A. Retired Peoples Organization, and had attended the First Baptist Church of Elk Grove. She was predeceased by her husband, Sam Seaman, and her daughter, Suzanne Hanes. Survivors include her daughter, Judy Corriea of Antelope, California. Three grandchildren, Howard Hanes of Modesto, California; Tammy Ennis of Jamestown, California; Chad Hanes of Sacramento, California; and eight great-grandchildren.
