CARRIE M. ZIMMERMAN
JUDA -- Carrie Mae Zimmerman, age 88, of Juda, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2007, at her home. She was born on September 27, 1918 in Spring Grove Township, Green County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Ivan and Mary (Davis) Arnsmeier. Carrie attended Shanghai School, marrying Kenneth R. Zimmerman on April 17, 1937 in Oregon, Illinois. He passed away on January 5, 1989.
Carrie and Kenneth had farmed in Rock and Green County prior to moving to Juda. She had been a teacher's aid at the Juda schools for over 25 years, having also worked for Helland's Food and Locker, Juda, and McLellan's of Monroe. She was a member of the former Stateline Lutheran Church and attended Zion United Methodist Church of Juda. Carrie loved the 'Cowboys', kids, and especially the tooth fairy!
She is survived by her children; Roger "Bud" (Nancy) Zimmerman, Dennis (Kathleen) Zimmerman, D. Bradley (Karen) Zimmerman, Teresa (Allan) Larson, Donna (Jeffrey) Blair, and Donnie (Julie) Zimmerman, three sisters; Berneice Stuckey, Janet (Ernest) Thommen, Joyce (Charles) Trotter, twenty grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, seven great great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Beverly Ann, a son, Donovan, and brothers, Raymond, Rodney, D. Marion "Mink" Arnsmeier, and Merle Arnsmeier in infancy.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 26, 2007, at Zion United Methodist Church, Juda, with Pastor Thomas Miller officiating. Burial will be in Stateline Cemetery, rural Juda. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD, WI. Memorials can be made to the Juda Public School.
A very special thank you to our sisters Teresa and Donna who lovingly cared for our mother 24/7 for the past four months so she could be at home. From the brothers- Bud, Denny, Brad, and Donnie.
