![]() Anmerkung |
While Emily's half-brother Harvey Johnson, her half-sister Mary (Johnson) Potter and several of her children are known to have lived in Hubbard County, MN, starting in the early 1880's, neither Emily nor William E. Ripley appear in any census taken in Hubbard County between 1885 and 1905.Emily's husband William E. Ripley appears to have died before September of 1904, as on 28 Sep 1904, Emily (presumably a widow) received title to a 40-acre federal homestead in Section 24 of Straight River Township (T139N R35W) in Hubbard County.. Emily lived with her daughter Cora Hill and her family in Vancouver (Clark County), Washington when the 1910 U.S. census was taken. From the birthplaces of Cora's children, it is apparent that Cora and Charles Hill had moved from Minnesota to Washington sometime between about 1903 and about 1906. Perhaps that move took place after the death of William Ripley. |
