She is not enumerated in the 1830 or 1840 Census Records. 1827 or 28 - David and Catherine purchased his father's farm of 116 acres. [Warrant No. 353, Lycoming Co., PA.] 1835 - He was Supervisor of Jackson Township and Overseer of the Poor. 1847 - Sold the farm to Charles and Catherine Maneval, and moved to Illinois. Upon arrival in Illinois, the family lived in a log cabin near Dakota, Stephenson County for a short while. He established a Homestead claim for 60 Acres in Section 28, Rock Run Township, Stephenson County. This farm operated as a family enterprise until after his death. all 4 sons were in the civil war, William was killed. |
