Anmerkung

Delbert's father died when he was 21. This left him the responsibilityof the farm as the other boys were younger. When WW I broke out hiscousins were enlisting in the Army and Delbert wanted to join up also. Aneighbor spent one afternoon talking Delbert out of joining the Army andto stay home and farm so the family could keep the farm and continue onliving toghether. His father was a beliver in education and that wasshown as Delbert, Cleo and Roscoe graduated from Cambells BusinessCollege in Holton. Delbert was initiated in the Soldier lodge 1-9-1919.He was the District Deputy Grand Manster in 1963. He received his 50 yearmembership.
