Floyd ' 'Bill' ' Malcook

BRODHEAD -- Floyd ' 'Bill' ' Malcook, age 77, passed away Friday, September 6, 2002 at his home.
He was born in Spring Grove Township on March 11, 1925, the son of Herman and Lydia Hintz Malcook.
Bill was married to Elizabeth Shrier October 12, 1945 in the Brodhead Methodist parsonage.
They farmed in Decatur Township on the same farm his entire life. Bill's first love was his family. He had a compassion for farming and loved his field work. He also loved bowling, shuffleboard, and hunting with his hounds. Bill organized the hunts for many years.
Surviving are his wife Elizabeth ' 'Betty,' ' children Ruth (Galen) Rosheisen, Larry (Mary Ellen) Malcook, Barbara (Rick) Clark, Marjorie (Coburn) Broughton, all of Brodhead; 11 grandchildren, Laurie & Craig, Chad, Jodi & Lucas, Brent & Andrea, Ashley & Danyelle, Bryce and Derek; 8 great-grandchildren, Kyle and Riley Olson, Karina and Alexandra Rosheisen, Brooke and Cody Malcook, Mackenzie McIntyre, and Kayla Relph.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Jan Williams, brothers Ray, Roy, Harold; and sisters Jennie Zimmerman, Dorothy Schwartz, Sylvia Lentz, and Pearl and Alice Gadow.
Funeral services were held at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Brodhead at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 9, 2002, with Pastor Dan Herman officiating.
Burial is in Greenwood Cemetery, Brodhead.
Friends called from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, September 8, at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Brodhead.
