Info from Joel Hager, Came to America in about 1744, perhaps on the same ship (Muscliff Galley in Phila) as Valentin Hager. He might have come in 1743, on the Lydia, with Johann Philip (Bucks) Hager b 1712, except that this Johannes seems to have come from Siegen. It appears that all of the Hagers from Siegen, Germany, are all probably related in some way. This includes the Hagers of Hagerstown, David (1712) and Jonathan (1719); Killian "Callie"Hager (<1729) of Westmoreland County; Johannes Hager (1734)(1724?) of Berks County; Johannes Hager (~1701); Jacob Hager Sr (<1765) of Chester County; Hendrick Hager (1702); and the Haugers of Indiana. It is possible that Johannes Hager b 1734 in Siegen, Germany, and Kilian Hager b 1729 in Germany were brothers; no supporting evidence other than their concurrent presence in Pennsylvania. It is also possible that he is related to the parents of Jonathan and David Hager, Founders of Hagerstown, since they all came from Siegen. This Johannes was born in Germany, well after the immigration of the family of Jonathan and David; he might be their nephew. This could have been the Johannes Hager b bef 1750, son of Johann Philip (Bucks) Hager, since this Johannes may have started out in Bucks Co before going to Berks Co. He could also be the son of the Johannes Hager b bef 1719 who came on the ship Lydia" in 1743 with Lawrence Hager and the Bucks Co Hagers. There was an Andrew Hager (b bef 1758) who enlisted in 1776 from Berks Co; he might have been a son of Johannes (and died prior to the 1790 census), or could have even been a brother. One of their sons apparently had a daughter, Nancy Hager, b. Abt 1808 in Berks Co, PA, d. in Hancock Co., Ohio Abt 1877. Married 1st Joseph Bookwalter, 2nd Joseph Morris (Ross Co., OH) One of Nancy's sisters was Sophia Hager. At least one of the Hager sisters married a Treece. Her known children were William Wilson Bookwalter, Sarah Bookwalter, Abraham Bookwalter, Joseph Bookwalter, Asa Morris.
