Will dated 20 Feb 1817, probated 28 May 1821, shows wife Gertraud, sons Daniel, John, and Magdalena Troxell, Maria Albrecht, Catherine Bieber, Judith Schlauch.

He says: ' 'John Siegfried III, b. 4 Oct 1758 in Siegfried's Dale, Maxatawny Township, Berks County, Pa. - d. 14Apr 1821 in Maxatawny Township, Berks County, Pa. ‎(he did not die in Siegfried's Dale on the farm he inherited from his father, John II, as everyone thinks because the house he built with datestone containing ' 'John @ Gertraud - 1790' ' is still preserved at the ' 'Rodale Institute' ' on Siegfriedale Road. Instead, he died on a farm he purchased about a mile east of Kutztown, which by his will was transfered to his son Daniel - his son John IV and wife Catherine having received the farm in Siegfried's Dale. John IV built a stone home in 1827 on Siegfridale Road adjacent to the ' 'John & Gertraud' ' home built by his father in 1790)‎. Both Johannes ‎(John)‎ III and his wife Maria Gertraud ‎(Sassaman)‎ Siegfried are buried in the Siegfried Family Cemetery in Maxatawny Township. They had the following children:
