From Dori Coplien : John was mentioned in his mother's will, but not as an heir since he had already died. Her will stated ' 'And I do hereby acquit release & discharge my beforenamed Son Joseph and the Heirs of my late deceased Son John of and from the payments of any Sum or Sums of Money or other Matter or thing of Right apportioning or payable unto me by the Last Will & Testament of my Husband....' '

However, Morton Montgomery's ' 'History of Berks County' ' was wrong about Johannes and his sons Johannes and Joseph. Per Leon Borst, Montgomery for his 1809 publication, apparently didn't know that Johannes ‎(the father of Joseph and John)‎ was the founder of the Siegfrieds in Maxatawny ‎(or in fact, that he even existed)‎.

Irene Konrad and Morton Montgomery show his parents as Joseph Siegfried and Anna Maria Romig. Not possible due to birth dates.
