Grob Kansas Historical Society Microfilm Roll O 115 The Onaga Herald March 9, 1920 KOPPLIN Anna Brunkow was born in Germany, October 25, 1846 and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wm, Falk, on March 4, 1920, at the age of 73 years, 4 months and 9 days. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church in 1860. On Oct. 31, 1872 she was married to Michael Kopplin. To this union were born 6 children, 4 daughters and two sons died in infancy and one daughter, Mrs. August Stelter, came to this country some time ago. In June 1893 they came to this country and settled on a farm near Arispie where her husband became an invalid for life. Then they made their home with Mrs. Wm. Falk. On Dec. 8 Mrs. Kopplin slipped and fell on the ice, injuring her hip. Complications set in and resulted, after intense suffering for almost four months, in her death. She leaves to mourn her death her invalid husband, Michael Kopplin, one daughter, Agnes Falk, one brother, Wm. Brunkow, of Duluth, a sister, Mrs. Sophia Henneberg. Of Colo., two son-in-laws; Wm. Falk and Aug. Stelter, 8 grandchildren, and many other relatives in Germany. |
