At the age of 11 years he came with his parents to America, the family settling in the state of Kansas where the aged mother of 92 years is still living.On June 7, 1883 the deceased was united in marriage with Mrs. Louisa Miller, of Racine, Wis., where they then made their home for about four years. Since then they lived in this vicinity and for the past 19 years in he village of Middleton. Mr. Brunkow was a charter member of the St. Luke's church and served as a trustee of the same for 25 years. He was also a charter member of St. Luke's Brotherhood, and a director of the Bank of Middleton for the past 16 years. The deceased had been in failing health for about two years, yet his sudden death was unexpected by his family as well as by his friends. He died March 4 at the age of 69 years, 6 months and 4 days, leaving to mourn the widow, 2 daughters, Mrs. Paul Youngbluth, of Middleton, Mrs. Albert Henning of Madison, 5 brothers, William, Ferdinand, Albert and Frank, of Onaga, Kansas; and Herman of Madison; 3 sisters, Mrs. Herman Honig, Mrs. August Kolterman and Mrs. Wm. Honig and the aged mother all of Onaga, Kansas. Funeral services were conducted on Monday afternoon, March 7, at the home at two o'clock and at the St. Luke's church at 2:30, with interment at the Junction Cemetery. Rev. Geo.
