He worked with the Civilian Conservation Corps for several years. He then went to work for Mauerman Implements as a mechanic, where he worked for forty years. He purchased the business in 1965 working until his retirement in 1978. He was a member of Zor Shrien, a 50 year member of the Brodhead Masonic Lodge, and also a member of the Brodhead volunteetr fire department for 22 years, serving as assistant fire chief for several years. |
