Thomas Marigold ‎(source 118)‎ wrote: ' 'She ‎(Margaret)‎ married mygreat-grandfather, James Marigold, first. They had four children. Jamesand Margaret eventually went their separate ways, he to Texas, and shestayed in Illinois. He married again and had 2 children, she marriedCharles Roehl and had one son.... I can furnish info on Margaret'sdescendants if anyone is interested, but obviously they no longer carrythe name Zerbe.' '

He also wrote: ' 'I never knew Maggie or James, but I did know 'GrandpaRoehl' ‎(my step-grandfather)‎. As a young boy, I visited the two familyhome sites in Oneco ‎(pronounced Oneeko)‎. The first site was the remnantof property still in the name of Thomas Zerbe, Maggie's father. I sayremnant because in the 1920's, the state came diagonally through the 4lots Thomas owned with a reroute of Illinois Highway 26. The house hadto be razed but the outbuildings were left standing. The family thenmoved into a small house across the road and about 1 city block to thewest where Maggie and Charles' son Frederick eventually lived yet evenafter his parents passed away.' '

He also wrote ‎(118(3)‎), ' 'An obit for Margaret published in the Freeport‎(IL)‎ Journal Standard on 24 Feb 1926 said that 5 brothers, 2 sisters, andher parents preceded her in death.' '
