Her obituary in the July 2, 1990 issue of the Sarasota Herald Tribune(161(2)) reads: ' 'Lena C. Zerbe, 89, Bradenton, died July 1, 1990. ' 'She was born Nov. 21, 1900, in Clinton, Ohio, and came to this area 31years ago from DeYoung, Pa. A Methodist, she was a stenographer for aninsurance company in Chicago. ' 'Survivors include two sisters, Mildred Henning of Bradenton and HazelAlleman of Big Prairie, Ohio. ' 'Memorial services will be at a later date. National CremationSociety, Sarasota Chapter, is in charge. ' 'Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of S.W. Florida Inc., 40643rd St. W., Bradenton 34209.' ' Since Gail Wenger's file (source 50), lists a Lena Christ from BigPrairie, OH, married to a Zerbe who was born in 1898, and Lena's obituary(161(2)) shows her birth date as 1900 and having a sister from BigPrairie, I'm assuming the Lena in the obituary is the same as the Lena inGail's file. |
