[Martin Zerbe descendants.FTW] Built a hotel with brother Martin. An iron plate from Rehersburginscribed 1810 is imbedded in the wall of the hotel. The hotel was saidto be the leading hotel in Newtown (formerly Zerbe) PA. CONFLICT: Blue Book p. 318 says Henry who married Margaret Kerschner isthe son of Peter & Elizabeth (Zerbe) Zerbe. Counting Kindred p. 127 saysthis Henry married Caroline Boyer and Caroline Wolfe. Who is right? Blue Book, p. 318: Henry, b. January 6, 1827; was killed at a lumberlanding, August 20, 1862. His wife was Margaret Kerschner. Henry andMartin together built the hotel. An iron plate, inscribed 1810, which wasbrought from Rehersburg, was imbedded in the wall. He had one son, Henry. |
