excellent scholastic record...resided in Englewood, NJ and in New York
where they shared manysocial, cultural, and church activities...gave
much of her life to Christianwork...served in YWCA...president of New
York City Assn,,,on national board1906-46...head of War Work Council in
1917...receivedDistinguished Service Medal from the U.S. government on
7/21/1919...one of two women so honored...also decorated by
France...traveled frequently to Europe, Asia and South Americain the
interests of the YWCA and of Presbyterian and Interdemominational Boards
and Conferences...died of heart failure at the General Oglethorpe Hotel
near Savannah, GA while motoring to Florida with her husband...funeral
services in New York City...internment in the Cushman family vault of
Trinity Cemetery at 155th St and Broadway, NYC..had no children.
