This Info was written by my Mary Ann Brown 1833-1929 Just after WW1. Unfortunately she doesn't give a lot of dates. She starts out by saying that (Albert Zimmerman) M Charlotte Casselberry they moved to Kansas. Children were Ada, Clara, Elizabeth, Edwin ,James, and Hewittt Collins who lived in Lawrence Kansas -Circa 1920'S. OK here we go... Albert Zimmerman was son of Arnold Shutt Zimmerman B 1797-D July 1837 & (cousin)Elizabeth Custer-Married Approx 1821. Elizabeth Custer was daughter of Mary Zimmerman & Henry Custer. Mary Zimmerman was the daughter of Jacob Zimmerman b Mar 18.1740,D Mar 8 1819 & Elizabeth Supplee b 1738 d 1797. Jacob's father was Arnold Zimmerman b Nov 2,1716 d Jan 20, 1803 his wife was Mary Engle b Feb 20,1719 d april 27 1803. The Montgomery County Historical Society: Arnold Zimmerman who was born in 1716 his home is still standing as of 1996 on the S.W. corner of Germantown township and Valley Forge Road, Fairview Village Pa . Arnolds's father was Jacob Christopher Zimmerman who went by Christopher Baptized in Germany May 14,1683 He married Sibella Van Fossen. His father was the Reverend Johann Jacob Zimmermann b 1644 Wurtemburg Germany died 1693 in Rotterdam, Holland on the way to America with his wife Margaretha Schaal Zimmerman and children. Arnold was fairly rich for those times. In 1763 he and his wife Mary bought 100 acres of land in Worcester, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. (Perkiomen region). They paid 500 pounds. |
