Note from D.A.R.: Upon checking the DAR Patriot's Index, I found the following: John Peter Haas Private in PA born 25 December 1756 in Germany * died 13 March 1835 in Shamokin Twp., Northumberland Co., PA m'd Eva Hummel in October 1780 ** Service was in Captain Sharpele's Company and was a resident in Berks Co., PA during the Revolutionary War. John Peter Haas received a Pennsylvania State pension and had a bounty land warrant #61130-160-55 Children (those mentioned in applications, but not necessarily all of his children) Kate m'd David Reed William m'd Mria X Hannah m'd William Arter The website for DAR is dar.org. On that website under Genealogy, you will find an application for Record Copy.
